Through 2016, I’ll be doing 52 parkruns, in 52 weeks, in 52 places.
Parkruns are free, weekly, timed 5k runs, which take part in hundreds of different parks across the UK and further afield. They’re very much open to all and have a real community feel.
I have two big aims over the course of the year. These are:
- To raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Research UK; and
- To encourage as many people as possible to take part in a parkrun.
Please do help out, either through sponsorship (see my Just Giving page), or by heading down to your local parkrun. For anyone who hasn’t done all that much running lately, 5k is a solid distance to work towards, making parkrun a great goal. Let me know if you’re planning to do a particular parkrun, and I’ll try to come along and join.
If you fancy a visit to North Wales, there will always be a VERY big welcome to you at Conwy parkrun!!!! just drop a line to Conwy parkrun, with a note to me. I am one of the RD’s, and see all of the facebook posts.
